Institute of Corporate Leadership and Mentorship unveils Corporate Headquarters in Uyo

-Holds Leaders Refreshers programme

The formal unveiling of the Corporate Headquarters of an Akwa Ibom State based professional body, Institute of Corporate Leadership and Mentorship has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2024 by 10am prompt.

In a chat with newsmen, the National President/Director General of the Institute, Apostle Emmanuel Eduongo, disclosed that the epochal event shall also feature the 2024 First Quarter Leaders’ Refresher Programme with the theme, “The Dynamics of innovative and strategic Leadership.”

The double-barreled event, which holds at the Mini Conference Hall of the Institute along Ring Road 3 (Clement Isong Avenue, Uyo), according to Apostle Eduongo is one of the organisation’s training programmes aimed at re-equipping and sharpening participants intellect for efficiency and effectiveness in the discharge of their leadership functions.

The Institute of Corporate Leadership and Mentorship, Apostle Eduongo said is a multi-disciplinary capacity building platform and a body of distinguished leaders across all professional and occupational divide.

Explaining further, Apostle Eduongo said, the Institute, which started its operations in 2017 as a voluntary, not-for-profit organization is incorporated as limited by guarantee by the Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission with certificate No: 1427954 and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), with the consent of the Attorney General of the Federation.

Elucidating further, the National President of the over two-hundred-member Institute said, over the years, ICLM has impacted the society positively with its cutting-edge programmes which includes: Conferences, Annual Lectures, Investitures, Youth Mentorship and Personal Development programmes, among others in line with global best practices.

Apostle Eduongo maintained that ICLM, as an authoritative professional body is a leading voice in the quest for improved corporate governance standards, and is dedicated to developing and improving the effectiveness and performance of its members globally.

Also, while fielding questions from newsmen, the National Vice President of the Institute, Dr. (Mrs) Rosalyn Enefiok Essien recounted that at ICLM, leadership is approached with the notion that everyone in today’s world is a leader irrespective of the organization he leads, with its programmes designed to benefit all categories of leadership strata from the family, a team, a department, a multi-national, public/private sectors, NGOs and service-oriented organizations including the church.

“Since our society is evolving from a structure of hierarchies and standardized answers and processes to one that is constantly changing, the value of our approach lies in providing leaders with the skills that are evolving in the context of the great transition in thinking, technology, interconnectedness.”

She stated that the Institute’s programmes are focused on collaboration, generative dialogue and adaptive planning, saying, “It is our avowed commitment that today’s leaders would be nurtured to function effectively with a definitive direction for progressive change for the attainment of organizational goals and sustainability.”

Our reporter gathered that the unveiling of the corporate office of the Institute shall pave the way for hosting of regular programmes and short courses on Leadership, Communication, Entrepreneurship as well as Personal Development etc, as contained in its operational blueprint.

The management of ICLM therefore urged everyone desiring to make positive impacts in their endeavour to avail themselves of the array of opportunities provided by the Institute.
