Verticul, an e-learning platform developed by Unify, in partnership with DecisionSpaak Technologies, has launched a ground-breaking course on artificial intelligence (AI), designed to equip Africans with relevant skills and drive digital revolution in the continent.

Unify’s flagship product, Verticul is a robust learning platform that provides young Africans with affordable courses, which help them become five times more employable.

The event was tagged; Artificial Intelligence 101: Prompt Engineering for Beginners.

The Founder and AI Product Leader, Philip Ade-Akanbi, revealed that the product offered a comprehensive introduction to AI.

Ade-Akanbi stated that participants gained insights into the workings of AI systems such as chatbots and Large Language Models (LLMs).

“With a focus on practical application, the course is designed to meet the needs of professionals across various industries, including finance, healthcare, media, and education,” he said.

He noted that according to industry reports, businesses across the continent are increasingly adopting AI technologies, yet there remains a shortage of qualified professionals to implement and effectively manage these systems.

“This course will enable African businesses and young entrepreneurs to unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation in the global economy,” Ade-Akanbi enthused.

Additionally, Ade-Akanbi stressed that with Verticul’s community-focused approach complementing DecisionSpaak’s technical depth, this partnership affirms both companies’ commitment to fostering innovation, creating economic opportunities, and enhancing the technological capabilities of Africa’s workforce.

The General Manager of Unify, Samuel Omokanye, explained that AI is the future, and it is essential for African professionals and companies to have access to top-tier AI training.

He said, “With over a thousand learners, Verticul delivers market-ready skills and opens doors for young Africans to go from jobseekers to head-hunted talents.

“Our tagline, ‘How High Can You Go?’ reflects our leap from traditional learning to transformational learning.”
