Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, supervised the oath of office administered on the new senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, during plenary on Thursday. The oath was administered on her by the Clerk of the Senate, Mr. Chinedu Akubueze, at about 11:41 am. She thereafter proceeded to have a handshake with the Senate President who handed over to her a copy of the Senate Standing Rules. She was later led to her seat by the sergeant at arms after exchange of pleasantries with her colleagues. The Senate also screened and confirmed the remaining Resident Electoral Commissioner nominees.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on Wednesday, said it has arrested 69 suspected internet fraudsters in Ile-Ife, Osun State. This was disclosed by the commission on its official website. “They were arrested on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Oduduwa Estate area of Ile-Ife, Osun State following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in fraudulent internet-related activities.
