Four members of a family of five in Taraba State died after being electrocuted with several others sustaining injuries. The incident happened in the Dinyavo area of Jalingo, the state capital, on Monday. The family members included a father, mother and two children, with the last born escaping unhurt. Channels Television was on the scene of the incident where neighbours expressed shock as the remains of the deceased were being evacuated to a morgue by the police. The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lafia has nullified the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State. Delivering the over 4-hour judgement virtually, the chairman of the tribunal, Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, declared Emmanuel Ombugadu of the PDP as the lawfully elected Governor of the State. The tribunal chairman maintained that the evidence presented by the petitioner indicated that Emmanuel Ombugadu scored the majority of the lawful votes cast during the March 18 governorship election in the state. Troops of the Joint Task Force, South-East, code-named Operation UDO KA II, have cleared four notorious camps of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliates, Eastern Security Network (ESN), in Imo State. The EFCC Acting spokesman, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the development to newsmen on Monday.
