Activist Omoyele Sowore on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to cybercrime charges the police instituted against in Abuja for referring to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun as “illegal IGP”. Mr Sowore pleaded not guilty to all 17 counts read to him at the Federal High Court in Abuja, where the police earlier filed the indictment on Tuesday. The president of the Africa Development Bank, Akinwunmi Adesina has said that about 600,000 women and children in Africa die every year from cooking with firewood and charcoal. He further noted that 1.2 billion African women do not have access to clean cooking sources, leaving them to inhale smoke from using firewood and charcoal.
