The Ayo competition at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Ikenne reached a thrilling climax with standout performances in both the male and female singles categories at the Remo Stars Stadium.
In the men’s singles final, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, clinched the gold medal after an impressive run, while Akwa Ibom settled for silver. Bayelsa and Edo States claimed the two bronze medals following strong semifinal showings.
In the women’s singles category, Akwa Ibom took top honours with a commanding display to secure the gold medal. Rivers earned silver, while Ekiti and Bayelsa picked up the two bronze medals to round off the podium.
