Governor Umo Eno grateful for support during maiden anniversary

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the people of the State, for the overwhelming show of support during the events marking the just concluded First Anniversary of his inauguration.

In a message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Umo Eno, said he was “deeply touched by the overwhelming support you showed in the course of our First Anniversary.

“Let me thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his inclusive approach to governance, former President Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR, for helping commission one of our landmark projects executed during the last one year:

“The Atiku Abubakar erosion control tunnel, our dear son, the Senate President, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON, the Number Three citizen, for his collaborations, my predecessor, His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, CON, and his dear wife, Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs.) Martha Udom Emmanuel for their support, constant prayers and faith in our capacity to move the State forward, our former Governor, Arc. (Obong) Victor Attah and military Governors led by Col. Yakubu Bako (rtd), who all contributed in laying the foundation of development in our State,” the governor stated.

Governor Eno also expressed gratitude to the State’s First Lady and founder of the Golden Initiative for All, (GIFA,) Her Excellency, Pastor (Mrs.)Patience Umo Eno, and his Deputy, Her Excellency, Distinguished Senator Akon Eyakenyi, for their profound supportive roles in the success of his administration.

“Let me also most sincerely appreciate the delegation of the National Working Committee ( NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) led by the National Secretary, Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu, our PDP State Chairman, Elder Aniekan Akpan, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong and members of the State and National Assembly, the Judiciary, led by Her Lordship Justice Ekaete Obot, the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources (Gas), Obongemem Ekperikpo Ekpo, our statesmen across party and professional lines such as the APC Chieftains , Atuekong Don Etiebet, former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Obong Umana Okon Umana, former Minister of Budget and National Planning, Distinguished Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, Otuekong Sunny Jackson Udo, our fathers in faith, revered Paramount Rulers, friends of the State across the nation, and the organized private sector/ business community.

“Our appreciation also extend to the Director General of our Campaign Organization , H.E. Chief Assam Assam, SAN, the Maintain Peace Movement led by Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, SAN, our political leaders, Senator Effiong Bob, Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien, and Rt. Hon. (Chief) Nduese Essien and indeed all other stakeholders, the media community in our State and the Nation and groups who turned out en masse and organically to celebrate with us.

“We remain focused committed as the second year in office commences to utilize the resources available to us to work for you and prove that government indeed can be a force for good.

“Let us continue to ARISE together and reach out to those who for no fault of theirs may be on the lower rungs of the ladder of growth. God bless us all”.
