Hope Uzodinma attracts N1b Federal Government grants for indigent Imo people
Leveraging on his cordial working relationship with the federal government, the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has attracted a N1 billion conditional grant scheme for indigent citizens of the state.
To this end, 20,000 (Twenty thousand) indigent citizens of the state will get 50,000 each as part of efforts by the federal government to alleviate the current hardship in the country.

A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Barr, Mrs Oby Amadiobi explained that Governor Hope Uzodinma intervention led to the release of the grants.
“When His Excellency talked about connecting the South East to the national grid of politics with the benefits, he was exactly referring to issues like this,” she averred.
She noted that although other states will also benefit, Imo is one of the front line states of beneficiaries because of the clout of the governor.
Said she” as of last Monday, some indigenes of the state had started receiving their alert for N50,000 under the FGN presidential conditional grant scheme. This is salutary for our people. ”
Mrs Amadiobi enjoined the citizens of the state to reciprocate the federal government ‘s gesture through the continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The permanent secretary noted that under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and the prosperity agenda of Gov Hope Uzodimma, Imo people will continue to be assisted to overcome the present economic challenges in the country
