Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has prayed for his predecessor and ‘political father’, Mr Udom Emmanuel, to have the spirit of discernment.
Governor Eno, who made the prayer in his birthday message to Mr Emmanuel who turned 59 on Friday, July 11, had failed to convince the former to join him when he (Eno) defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“As you turn 59, I pray for more robust health, wisdom, and spirit of discernment so we may continue to benefit from the fountain of your knowledge,” Governor Eno said.
The Governor further noted that the State now remains peaceful, as the fundamentals of growth are on track, adding that Akwa Ibom is Rising and the future looks bright and hopeful.
Governor Eno, who could not get his predecessor, Mr Emmanuel, to him (Eno) to APC, has been doing everything people to appeal to the former governor to change his mind.
