The caucus of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently meeting in Abuja to decide whether the planned National Executive Committee (NEC) slated for Tuesday will still go ahead.
Earlier, the National Working Committee (NWC) was expected to meet on Monday morning, followed by a meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) and the PDP Governors before the Caucus late on Monday night ahead of the NEC meeting on Tuesday.
However, the situation changed following the sealing of the National Secretariat of the party by officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) on the order of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Following the closure and efforts by allies of Wike to postpone the NEC meeting without success, the stakeholders quickly called a Caucus meeting to deliberate on the issues.
Those present at the meeting are PDP Governors, members of the NWC, BoT and other stakeholders of the party.
The meeting is expected to deliberate on the prevailing crisis and decide whether the NEC meeting will still go on or not.
