The Guide Newspaper has challenged the former Honorary Special Adviser to Governor Umo Eno on Oil and Gas, Mrs Rose Eshiett, to refute the report of her resignation by issuing a press statement with her official letterhead, as well as provide recent payslips and evidence of work done since appointment.
The challenge came after Mrs Eshiett released a shabby video which captured her in a London Airport, attempting to refute an earlier report by the Guide Newspaper revealing that she (Mrs Eshiett) and the former Economic Adviser to Governor Eno, Dr (Mrs) Uduakobong Inam, had resigned.
“If she truly has not resigned, why is she not addressing the press conference from her official office as expected of someone still in government or issue a press statement with her official letterhead? We also challenge her to provide recent payslips and evidence of work done since her appointment to prove that she is still an appointee of the governor,” the medium said.
The Guide Newspaper further noted that it stands by its report that both Mrs Eshiett and Mrs Inam had resigned as Advisers to Governor Eno due to the governor’s policy flip-flops inconsistent implementation of the economic blueprint.
Meanwhile, we gathered from our source within the government that the said video in which Mrs Eshiett deliberately failed to say that she was still an appointee of the governor, was done after so much pressure from the governor as a damage control measure.
