UCCDA Promises to Clampdown on Illegal Motor Parks within Uyo

The management of Uyo Capital City Development Authority has promised to Clampdown on all illegal motor parks within the capital city effective from 30th January 2024.

The Executive Chairman of UCCDA, Rt. Hon. Anietie Eka dropped the hint yesterday in Uyo during the 2025 solemn assembly organized by the agency.

Hon. Anietie Eka while presenting his addressed said, “Effective Thursday 30th January, the Authority will begin a total clampdown on all illegal motor parks within the capital city, particularly, around Ibom Plaza, Itam flyover and Ikot Oku Ikono flyover and all major corridors of the capital city.”

The chairman of the agency used the opportunity to highlight some of the achievements of UCCDA in 2024, to include, the total rebranding of the Authority, acquisition of land for the phase II office complex, linking of the office complex to the national grid. Others include, recovering of government properties, flagged-off of the construction of the ARISE cafeteria, and beautification of flyover within the capital city, among other achievements.

Earlier in his sermon Rev. Emmanuel Iniama the guest minister who spoke on the theme of the solemn assembly ‘Multiplied Grace’ encouraged workers to give their best to their duties in 2025 to achieved optimum results. He assured them that God made His grace sufficient for them for greater productivity.

The solemn assembly climaxed with an award session for selected staff of the agency. Mrs Emem Emmanuel Isan received the best staff of the year award with a prize reward of two hundred thousand naira (N200,000), Deborah Ekpe clinched the best well -dressed female staff for 2024, with the prize of hundred thousand naira (N100,000) while Mr Anietie Marcus Akpan received the best well-dressed male staff of 2024 with the financial reward of hundred thousand naira (N100,000).
