Frank Archibong hails Uyo Transition Chairman for excellent performance

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Frank Archibong has on Thursday 4 June, 2024, hailed the Chairman of Uyo Local Government Transition Committee, Dr Uwenedimo Udo for excellent performance, and his drive towards enhancing governance at the grassroot
Mkpisong Archibong made his position known during the inauguration of the Golden Technical Block, a project executed by the Uwenedimo Udo led Transition Committee
He extolled the council helmsman for always keeping to his promise
Archibong noted that he was impressed with the performance of Dr Uwenedimo Udo and can comfortably say that the chairman has performed excellently well.
“Uwemedimo has redefined the office of the chairman. He is one chairman that has commissioned too many projects; Chairman, you have done well. Going by the way you have handled the affairs of Uyo, we can comfortably say that you have done excellently well. Little wonder the people of Uyo are behind you.”
Similarly, Mr Archibong thanked Governor Umo Eno for his impactful and people’s centric leadership, especially in his drive towards bringing governance to the grassroot
In a message of gratitude, the member representing Uyo State Constituency, Hon Uwenedimo Asuquo eulogized the council helmsman for his excellent performance and sterling leadership qualities.
He described him as the Chairman of the people and moved a motion to support his re-election bid
In his remarks, Secretary to the Government of Akwa Ibom State, Prince Enobong Uwah, who was represented by his wife, Dr Mrs Inemesit Uwah, commended the council helmsman for his pragmatic leadership style, humility and genuine love for his people.
She thanked Governor Umo Eno for always standing out to support governance at the grassroot.
The Paramount Ruler of Uyo Local Government Area, HRM Edidem Sylvanus Effiong Okon showered encomium on the Chairman for his impactful leadership and genuine love for the traditional institution.
He charged him to do more if re- elected for a second term in office.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the NULGE President Akwa Ibom State, Mrs Anestina Iweh described the Chairman as Mr project and commended him for always keeping to his promise.
She extolled the council helmsman for always prioritizing the workers welfare, through numerous financial assistance and packages
In his avowed commitment towards enhancing qualitative governance at the grassroot, Governor Umo Eno, who was represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Sir Charles Udo, lauded Dr Udo for his numerous landmark achievements.
He described the Chairman as an intelligent, hardworking and focused gentleman whose track record is visible for all to see
He charged Dr Uwenedimo to continue in his good works and unwavering commitment towards service to the people.
Governor Umo Eno assured of his continuous support towards enhancing governance at the grassroot.
