Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, in an interactive session today at Abak with party stakeholders, declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing well even under extraordinary circumstances and that he is taking Nigeria in the right direction.

Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) were led by the Akwa Ibom State Chairman, Obong Stephen Ntukekpo.

Ntukekpo, who gave the opening remark on the occasion, thanked the Honourable Minister for taking out time from his busy schedules to attend the Stakeholders Meeting.

The Party State Chairman described the Minister as a worthy son of Akwa Ibom State. In his words, “Obongemem, we are proud of you. You are doing exceptionally well at the Gas Ministry. One thing that gladdens my heart is that tomorrow history will remember you as the pioneer Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas).”

He went further to inform the stakeholders formally that the party is putting things in place ahead of the forthcoming local government elections in the state.

Nigeria’s pioneer Gas Minister, Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, while responding, thanked the stakeholders of the Party for turning up in their numbers despite the short notice.

“I bring you greetings from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is leading us well, and I also bring you greetings from our Grand Leader, Sen. Godswill Akpabio. I thank you all for joining hands together to move our great party forward,” he continued.

Ekpo tasked the stakeholders to advise members of their respective communities not to engage in any act that can lead to the destabilisation of Nigeria and cautioned against the planned nationwide protest.

He said that the Tinubu administration is doing everything within its powers to revive the Nigerian economy and take the nation to its rightful place in the comity of nations. He urged everyone to refrain from all forms of chaos and lend a helping hand instead.

He told his guests that the President is not oblivious of the current economic challenges, which he described as a passing phase, and went on to assure that his principal is not resting on his oars in finding lasting solutions.

In attendance were the Deputy State Chairman of the APC, Dr. David Umoessien; Akwa Ibom North-west Senatorial Chairman, Sir Joseph Tombere; Chairman, Governing Council of University Of Calabar, DIG Udom Ekpoudom; Sen. Ita Solomon Enang; NDDC Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Abasiandikan Nkonno. All Chapter Chairmen of the Party, as well as delegates from all the 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State.
