-vows not to reappoint them second term

There was a dramatic twist on Tuesday shortly before the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno signed the 12 Executive Bills into law, as some Commissioners who came into late for the event were locked out of the Exco Chamber.

Some of the affected Commissioners are; Commissioner for Power and former ALGON chairman, Rt. Hon. Iniobong Robson; Commissioner for Internal Security, General Koko Essien (Rtd.), Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Anthony Luke; Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Mrs. Emem Ibanga; Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Cpt. Iniobong Ekong, Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy, Frank Ekpenyong, Godwin Ntukude among others.

The Governor who was said to be extremely furious with the absentee commissioners, directed the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah to serve them with suspension letter for one months.

The Governor also vowed that he would not reappoint the affected commissioners in his second term even if they were recommended by anybody equivalent to his mother.

However, information made available to The Guide has it that, that was not the first time Pastor Umo Eno had talked down and embarrass his appointees, as he has allegedly been doing that.

Some of the appointees who spoke anonymously, said they have been severally embarrassed by public statements and actions of the Governor.

“As soon as Governor joined APC, the man has become haywire, talking uncoordinatedly. Some of us would not like to come back here.” One of the appointees said.
