In a bid to enhance healthcare access for the people of Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, Senator Aniekan Bassey (SAB) is sponsoring a comprehensive free medical and surgical outreach.

The initiative, aimed at providing much-needed medical attention to residents of the senatorial district, will offer a wide range of services, including surgeries, general health tests, treatments, and drug dispensation.

The outreach is scheduled to take place at several key locations within the senatorial district. The first phase will be held at the Methodist General Hospital, Ituk Mbang, from August 26 to 28, 2024. This will be followed by another session at the General Hospital, Etinan, from August 29 to 31, 2024. The outreach will then move to Mary Slessor General Hospital, Itu, from September 9 to 11, 2024, and will conclude at the General Hospital, Nung Udoe, from September 12 to 14, 2024.

Residents of Akwa Ibom North-East are encouraged to take full advantage of this unique opportunity. The outreach is expected to address a wide range of health concerns, from minor ailments to more complex surgical needs, ensuring that participants receive quality healthcare at no cost.

Senator Bassey, known for his commitment to the welfare of his people, has expressed his dedication to improving the health and well-being of the people in the district. By sponsoring this outreach, he aims to alleviate the financial burden of healthcare on individuals and families, particularly those in rural communities.

The general public is advised to visit any of the aforementioned hospitals on the scheduled dates to access the free medical services. The initiative underscores the Senator’s continuous efforts to deliver impactful and people-centered representation.

For more information on the outreach, interested individuals can contact the Senatorial District’s liaison offices or visit the hospitals directly during the outreach periods.

This free medical and surgical outreach is a significant step toward ensuring that every resident in Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District has access to essential healthcare services, regardless of their financial status.
