In the spirit of the Christmas season, the Unique Precious Care Foundation, a non profit organization dedicated to alleviating poverty among Nigeria’s less-privileged populations, has brought joy to over 150 widows and women across Akwa Ibom State. Through its visionary Chairman and Founder, Pastor (Mrs.) Florence Umana, the Foundation distributed Christmas gifts, including rice, wrappers, and cash, to women in three Local Government Areas— Ibesikpo, Ika and Ikot Abasi.

At Ibesikpo LGA, over 40 women gathered at the Will of God Evangelical Mission Church, where they received rice, wrappers, and cash gifts to celebrate the festive season. Expressing her gratitude, Mrs. Omega Inyang Effiok, the women coordinator of the Church, lauded Pastor (Mrs.) Florence Umana for her consistent care and love for widows and vulnerable women in the area. She noted that Mrs. Umana’s outreach has become a cherished annual tradition and prayed for God’s blessings on her and the Foundation.

At Ika LGA, over 70 widows and underprivileged women gathered at Refreshing Time Mission International Church, where they were recipients of similar gifts. The women were visibly moved and expressed their heartfelt appreciation. In his welcome address, Apostle Moses Udoaka, the Resident Pastor of the church, praised Mrs. Umana for staying true to the vision she birthed over 40 years ago. He emphasized her unwavering commitment, noting that she has consistently visited the area for the past 27 years to bring Succour to widows, women, and children.

At Ikot Abasi LGA, another 40 women, predominantly widows, benefited from the Foundation’s generosity. Speaking at the event, Mrs. Deborah Mathias, the women’s coordinator, thanked Pastor (Mrs.) Umana for her devotion to the plight of vulnerable women and her yearly visits. She prayed for God’s continued blessings upon her and the Foundation.

In all the locations visited, Pastor (Mrs.) Florence Umana expressed gratitude to God for providing the resources to support women despite the challenging economic situation in the country.

The activities of the Unique Precious Care Foundation extend far beyond festive outreach. Over the years, the Foundation has undertaken numerous humanitarian projects, including paying hospital bills for those in need, sponsoring surgeries, awarding scholarships, and organizing yearly children’s parties and back-to-school programs.

Pastor (Mrs.) Florence Umana, a beacon of hope and compassion, founded the Unique Precious Care Foundation to bring relief to the most vulnerable members of the society. Her over 40 years of selfless humanitarian service have cemented the Foundation’s reputation as a leading charitable organization, transforming lives one at a time.

Through her tireless efforts, Pastor (Mrs.) Florence Umana has proven that one individual’s commitment to humanity can create ripples of positive change, not just locally but globally.
