-Blames Gov. Umo Eno for poor defection negotiation

The decampees from The People Democratic Party (PDP) in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area have refused to follow the party procedure of decamping to the APC, they are Senator Ibiok Essien, the Executive Chairman of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Hon Aniefiok Nkom and the member representing Ikot Ekpene in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon Jeri Otu.
As at the time of filing this reports, politicians within the area are still uncertain about their defection since Governor Umo Eno grand reception to the APC is today.
The decampees are blaming Gov. Umo Eno for poor negotiation of their movement to the APC, stressing that the supposed to enter APC as political leaders.
A source close to Ikot Ekpene council chairman Hon. Aniefiok Nkom had hinted the Guide Newspaper that they are coming to take over APC in Ikot Ekpene as directed by Governor Umo Eno.
Moreover, the APC leadership in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area insisted that there is no merger, the PDP decampees that are joining the APC have to follow due process to be members.
Meanwhile, the APC chapter chairman Hon. Imoh Gabriel Umoibe alongside his Exco members is threatening to suspend the PDP decampees in Ikot Ekpene if they come to their party with the same PDP criminal lifestyle.
It would be recalled that the crises looming between the decampees from PDP and the APC leadership in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area became obvious as two conflicting circulars carrying two different venues for the formal defection ceremony of Ikot Ekpene Local Government officials from PDP to APC were circulating online.
