…DEMANDS SECURITY AGENCIES TO REOPEN MURDER FILES FROM 2007-2015

The altercation between Senator Godswill Akpabio and his sister in-law Mrs Patience Akpabio took a new dimension during the week with Patience Akpabio indicting the Senate President of leading the most bloody government in Akwa Ibom State during his tenure as the governor of the state between 2007 and 2015.
Speaking in a viral video, Mrs Patience Akpabio accused Senator Godswill Akpabio of being responsible for the killing of the late Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium in 2011 and other sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State who were gruesomely maimed during Akpabio’s era.
According to her “Between 2007 and 2015 Akwa Ibom State witnessed the highest level of killings in the State. The Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium who was beheaded, Annang sons who were killed during your era as a governor of Akwa Ibom State till today Akwa Ibom sons and daughters don’t know who did it and why?”
Pat Akpabio called on the Inspector General of Police in the country to investigate Senator Godswill Akpabio for what she described as the brutal eliminations that took place in the land during his tenure as the governor of Akwa Ibom State.
“You sat as the Chief Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State and you were the Chief security officer of the state. So, you cannot tell Akwa Ibom people that you knew nothing about the mysterious killings that took place in Akwa Ibom State. In that same office Udom Emmanuel came, Umo Eno came, we have not had that kind of brutal elimination in the land.”
It would be recalled that Late Edidem Robert Obot was assassinated in 2011 at his palace at Ikot Ekpene-Udo.
The late Monarch and former Accountant was killed at about 3.00pm on Sunday by some unknown gunmen who stormed his palace.
According to reports, late Edidem Robert Obot was said to have received a call from one of his interns in the palace that some visitors were waiting for him and that he should come back home.
Reacting to series of protests staged against her by various youth groups and women groups in Akwa Ibom State, Mrs Patience Akpabio described as ridiculous and shameful for Akwa Ibom youths and women to protest against her when they are supposed to be provided employment opportunities and sustainable means of livelihood.
“We deserve jobs that pay not just promises that fade after they take over office, we deserve education that empowers not just degrees that decorate poverty.We need industries that employ our men and women so no body must contest for N5000. It is a shameful to see the youths and women of Akwa Ibom State protesting just to collect N5000, we deserve better things. We demand governance that listens not bullies that enslave. Akwa Ibom youths must speak truth to power,” Mrs Patience Akpabio said.
Meanwhile elders of Akpabio family in Ukana Ikot Ntuen has excommunicated Mrs Pat Akpabio from their Akpabio family. The elders of Akpabio family took the decision on 27th October during a press briefing held at Ukana in Essien Udim LGA.
