…say Akpabio the only one making decision for A’Ibom in Presidency
The recent press release made by Senator Ita Enang appreciating the senate president, Senator Godswill Akpabio for nominating him for ambassadorial appointment to the presidency has sparked reactions within the social media community with some people describing Governor Umo Eno as a mere figurehead holding the position of a political leader of All Progressive Congress in Akwa Ibom State, while Senator Godswill Akpabio takes all decisions concerning the State and determines who get what in Akwa Ibom State from the presidency.
The development follows a note of appreciation where Senator Ita Enang thanked Senator Godswill Akpabio on behalf of his family, constituents and political constituency for his ambassadorial nomination.
Ita Enang went further to say that, Senator Godswill Akpabio has demonstrated exemplary leadership, remarkable inclusiveness and an unwavering commitment to carrying every section of the State along.
Reacting to the development, Da Zion Umoh, a social media user said: “Umo Eno is only parading himself to be be the Leader of All Progressives Congress – APC in Akwa Ibom State but deep inside his heart, he knows that he cannot make a decision with the real Leader of the party who happens to be Godswill Akpabio and Ekaette-Unoma Akpabio.
Umo Eno can only fool the fools that doesn’t know that he is nothing but an Akwa Ibom Errand Boy to Godswill Akpabio as they often says at Abuja.”
Governor Eno since his defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC) has faced several criticisms failing to take responsibility as the leader of APC in Akwa Ibom State, instead rather depending on Senator Godswill Akpabio to make critical decisions concerning APC in Akwa Ibom State for him.
It would be recalled that the Guide Newspaper in its previous publication that some APC stakeholders in Akwa Ibom State had criticized Governor Umo Eno for recently holding a meeting of critical stakeholders of the party at Akpabio’s residence rather than holding it in Government House, Uyo, or taking the meeting to a neutral location where every one invited would be free to attend and express himself without any intimidation.
