MIDTERM SCORECARD: REP. UDUDOH RECORDS 8 BILLS, 9 MOTIONS, LIFE-TOUCHING PROJECTS ACROSS CONSTITUENCY IN TWO YEARS

-Set to empower over 500 constituents, today

The member representing Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Uduak Odudoh, has 8 Bills and 9 Motions to his name within his first two years in office.

Hon Odudoh, who disclosed this while briefing newsmen, Thursday, June 26, on his midterm scorecard, also noted that in addition to his legislative duty, he has undertaken numerous life-touching projects across every political clan in the federal constituency.

“My constituents did not elect me to the House of Representatives to be a seat warmer or a ghost member. Therefore, in justification of the confidence they reposed in me, I am delighted to announce that through Policy Advocacy, I have sponsored eight (8) Bills, nine (9) motions, and drawn positive attention to four (4) Public Petitions during the plenary,” he said.

Speaking on his representation, the federal lawmaker disclosed that there is no political clan in the Federal Constituency that has not benefitted from the various life-touching projects that he has facilitated within the last two years, adding that he has been deliberate in ensuring that every part of the Constituency is carried along.

According to him, some of the projects facilitated under education include, renovation of Assembly hall and classroom blocks, Ibiaku Clan Community Secondary School, Ikot Ebak, Ibiaku Clan, Mkpat Enin; renovation of Examination Halls and Administrative Block, Regina Coeli College, Essene, Ikpa Nnung Assang clan, Ikot Abasi; construction of a 300 capacity multi-purpose hall, Laboratory Block, ICT Centre, Solar-powered borehole, as well as installation of 30KVA Inverter supply and lightning, Comprehensive Secondary School, Ikot Ubo Akama, Edemaya Clan, Ikot Abasi.

Others are, construction of classroom blocks, Migrant Secondary School, Emere-Oke Kingdom, Eastern Obolo; renovation of Library and Administrative Blocks, Methodist Secondary School, Ete, Ikot Abasi; procuring and distributing Jamb Registration Forms for 300 candidates across the Federal Constituency; award of Scholarships to 300 indigent students in Tertiary Institutions.

In healthcare intervention, the federal lawmaker listed his achievements to include, two editions of Free Medical Outreach (2024 & 2025) that recorded successful surgeries, 2500 Outpatient consultation, 2000 glasses distribution, dental and subspecialties surgeries; renovation of Doctors’ quarters and drilling of solar-powered borehole in the Health Centre, Essene, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi; installation of solar-powered street lights, General Hospital, Ikot Abasi Local; procurement and distributions of hospital equipment to selected hospitals in Ikot Abasi, Mkpat Enin and Eastern Obolo Local Government Areas.

“In 2024, some Secondary and Primary Schools were sensitised on dental care/personal hygiene in selected schools across Ikot Abasi, Mkpat Enin and Eastern Obolo Local Government Areas where toothpastes, toothbrushes, sanitary towels, and customized exercise books were distributed free of charge,” he added.

Under rural development and infrastructure upgrade, Hon Odudoh has facilitated the construction of solar-powered borehole, Ikot Unya Village, Ikpa Ikono Clan, Mkpat Enin; construction of solar-powered borehole, Eka Nung Ukim Village, Ukpum Minya Clan, Mkpat Enin; construction of solar-powered borehole, Idoro in Essene Community, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi; installation of solar-powered Streetlights in Emereoke, Iko Nta and Obianga communities of Eastern Obolo.

Others are installation of solar-powered streetlights, Ikot Ekong Village, Ikpa Ibom Clan, Mkpat Enin; installation of solar-powered streetlights, Ekefre Street, Ikot Emem, Asong Community, Ukpum Minya Clan, Mkpat Enin; installation of solar-powered streetlights, Udia-Umo Street, Mkpat Enin Urban, Ukpum Minya Clan, Mkpat Enin; installation of solar-powered streetlights, Ibiaku-Esa Ekpo, Ibiaku Clan, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.

More projects under rural development include, installation of solar-powered streetlights, Essene Town, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi; installation of solar-powered streetlights, Ikot Ndibio, Essene Community, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan; installation of solar-powered Streetlights, Owok Eseada, Essene Town, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi Local; installation of solar-powered streetlights, Ikot Imo Community, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi.

Installation of solar powered streetlights, Nduk Community, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi; installation of Solar powered Streetlights, Ikot Akpan Enin Community, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi; installation of Solar powered Streetlights, Ata-Udo Usung, Ikpa Ibekwe Clan, Ikot Abasi; installation of Solar powered borehole, Atan-Ikpe Community, Edemaya Clan, Ikot Abasi.

According to the federal lawmaker, some other ongoing projects are construction of solar-powered borehole, Ukam, Ikpa Ibom Clan, Mkpat Enin; installation of Solar powered streetlights, Ikot Esang Village, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi; installation of solar-powered streetlights, Ute/Ikot Osukpong/Okpot in Essene Community, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi; construction of solar-powered borehole, Ikot Atagha in Ukpum Ete Clan, Ikot Abasi; construction of a solar-powered borehole, Ute/Ikot Udua-ikpong, Essene Community, Ikpa Nnung Assang Clan, Ikot Abasi.

Hon Odudoh further noted that he has also facilitated projects and initiatives in other critical areas like human capital development, agriculture, humanitarian services, entrepreneurship, among others.

Speaking on his mid-term constituency briefing and empowerment programme holding today in Ikot Abasi, he disclosed that over 500 constituents will benefit from the various empowerment packages like N1 million cash grants to 100 business owners, N500,000 grants, scholarship wards, mini buses, heavy duty tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, salon cars, make-up boxes, and many others.
