The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Wednesday, September 30, 2026, for the commencement of the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Orientation Course nationwide.
The three-week orientation exercise is part of the mandatory stages of the NYSC service year for mobilised Nigerian graduates.
Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) are expected to monitor their NYSC dashboards for deployment and call-up information as the mobilisation process progresses. The official NYSC portal currently lists registration for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ as running from September 7 to 13, 2026.
The orientation course is designed to familiarise corps members with the objectives and ideals of the NYSC Scheme, their host communities and the responsibilities expected of them throughout the service year.
It also includes physical training, lectures, skills acquisition and other activities aimed at promoting national consciousness, discipline, leadership and social interaction among corps members.
Prospective corps members are therefore advised to regularly check their NYSC dashboards and follow official announcements for their deployment, call-up letters and other instructions ahead of the September 30 commencement date.
