Preparations have reached an advanced stage for the 10th anniversary celebration of the Pioneer Students Forum, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic (PISFAP), Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area.
With the theme: “A Decade of Excellence: Celebrating PISFAP’s Journey,” the three-day event is scheduled for Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28, 2025.
A statement by the leadership of the Forum, signed by the Public Relations Officer, Dr. Godwin Benson, and made available to newsmen, stated that “this momentous occasion is a celebration of PISFAP’s journey, highlighting our shared values and common history.”
Dr. Benson, who is also the Group Editor (News), The Pioneer Group of Newspapers, said there would be a Career Counselling & Mentoring Session on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the ASUP Hall of the Polytechnic by 10:00 a.m., while Saturday, June 28, 2025, would feature the 10th Anniversary Celebration and Excellence Awards at the Polytechnic’s Library by 10:00 a.m.
“During the grand event, we will be presenting the PISFAP Excellence Award to outstanding members of the Association who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields and demonstrated commitment to the Forum. We will also recognize eminent personalities who have made a mark in their chosen careers,” he explained.
Dr. Benson said the events would be rounded off with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Uyo, by 10:00 a.m.
He invited the general public to join in celebrating the milestone — an exciting reunion of old friends, colleagues, and stakeholders — showcasing achievements and looking forward to the future.
