Princess Godsown Udoito Regains Freedom After 270 Days in Custody

Princess Godsown Udoito has regained her freedom after spending 270 days in custody at the Uyo Correctional Centre.

The Ekid People’s Union (EPU) announced her release in a statement dated September 16, 2026, signed by its President General, Dr Samuel Udonsak, and Secretary General, Hon. (Barr.) Bassey Dan-Abia, KJW.

The union disclosed that Udoito is currently receiving routine medical assistance and counselling following her release.

According to the EPU, the post-release support is being provided in line with international best practices.
