President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held a private dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris, with both leaders reaffirming the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and France.

Tinubu disclosed the engagement in a post on his official social media accounts on Friday, describing the dinner as a pleasure and expressing appreciation to Macron for his hospitality and friendship.

The President said the meeting reaffirmed the strong friendship between Nigeria and France and highlighted their shared commitment to deepening cooperation and building a mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.

“It was a pleasure to share a private dinner with President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris,” Tinubu said.

He added: “Our conversation reaffirmed the strong friendship between Nigeria and France, as well as our shared commitment to deepening cooperation and building a mutually beneficial partnership between our two nations.”

Tinubu thanked the French President for what he described as his warm hospitality and friendship.

The dinner, held on Thursday night, further underscored the continued high-level diplomatic engagement between Nigeria and France. Photographs from the meeting showed Tinubu with Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, at the French presidential palace.
