-Says Eno Using EFCC to Seize Udom’s Money, Properties
The 2027 governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Akwa Ibom State, Senator John James Udoedeghe, has alleged that the state governor, Pastor Umo Eno, deceived his predecessor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, with satanic humility.
In a recent interview, Senator Udoedeghe revealed that in the quest to have a loyal successor, the former governor of the state, Mr Emmanuel, misjudged Mr Eno’s show of humility like kneeling down to pay respect (while serving as a commissioner) to mean loyalty, stressing that Eno was only pretending in order to deceive the then governor and be chosen as the preferred successor.
Describing Eno’s supposed humility as “satanic loyalty”, the ADC governorship candidate further disclosed that Governor Eno is now using anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to intimidate his predecessor by seizing his properties including his personal house in Lagos.
“What their fears are, I don’t know. The other one said, “I am looking for someone to control.” Let me tell you, I must speak on behalf of Udom Emmanuel. This governor that used to kneel down for him has collected all his properties including asking the EFCC to seize Udom Emmanuel’s house in Lagos, the one he lives in. Is that the kind of loyalty you are looking for? That’s what they call satanic humility. Wickedness!
“Is that the kind of person you want me to be? Pretend to you and deceive you? Where will you go after that? I am not like this kind of people. That’s not my character.
“That kind of politics is very bad politics, because this is not the man I know. People surrounding him are destroying the man. Now, why am I not doing that? I cannot be ungrateful. Somebody who made me governor, I will collect the house he lives in Lagos? Ask government to seize his money? No, God forbid that. If God wants me to become governor, it will not stop, it will happen. It will happen.”
