UNIUYO To Hold A-three In One Convocation On Saturday 11 Nov. – VC

The Vice Chancellor, University of Uyo, Prof. Nyaudo Ndaeyo has said the institution 26th, 27th and 28th three in one combined convocation
will commence on Wednesday, 8th November, Thursday 9th November and Saturday 11th November 2023 at the institution main campus.

Addressing Journalists on Monday at the institution during the Pre-Convocation/Media briefing, Prof. Nyaudo Ndaeyo declared that the combined convocation will feature the award of Ph.D to 475 graduands, Masters Degree to 1389 graduands, Postgraduate Diploma 808 graduands making up of a total of 2,672 Postgraduate graduands.

He further presented that Bachelors Degree in the 2017/2018 session is 3,862 with 49 First Class, 1,281 second class (Upper Division) 1,903 Second Class (Lower Division), Third Class 456. Pass 173, Diploma and Certificate is 160, while Bachelors Degree in 2018/2019 is 3,851 with 37 First Class, 1, 228 Second Class (Upper Division) 2,035 Second Class (Lower Division), Third Class 420, Pass 131 and 113 Diploma as Bachelor Degree in 2019/2020 session is 4,082 with 50 First Class, 1273 Second Class ( Upper Division) 2,274 Second Class (Lower Division) Third Class 346 and 139 Pass.

According to him, ” Honorary Degrees of the University would be conferred on Three Eminent Nigerians, Mr. Vincent Philip Enyema, former Nigeria’s Number one Super Eagles goalkeeper, Mr. Udom Inoyo a philanthropist and Advisor to Inoyo Toro Foundation and Senator Daisy Ehanire Theophilus Danjuma”.

Asked why the delayed convocation ceremony which led to the combined three sessions, the Vice Chancellor gesticulated on COVID-19 and Unions Strike of 2022.
