EmeBest Foundation, an Akwa Ibom State-based charitable organisation, has awarded a fully funded scholarship to 25 students, valued at N30m, to cover their tuition fees throughout their university education.

It also donated bags of rice, beans, wrappers, and others to over 2000 women and provided back-to-school packs with essential supplies such as books, math sets, and toys to over 1000 children.

Speaking while presenting the items to the beneficiaries at the Eka Eruk Eshiet community in the Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, its founder, Mrs. Eme Udoidiong, appreciated God for the opportunity to bring joy and hope to the beneficiaries, especially during these challenging times.

She disclosed that the foundation has committed a lot of resources towards the empowerment of children and women because it believes that investment in the education of children is the greatest investment it can make.

She said, “The greatest investment we can make is in the education and well-being of our children and women.

“A total of 25 first-degree students are being awarded a fully funded scholarship, valued at N30,000,000 (thirty million naira) covering their tuition fees throughout their university education.

‘”Additionally, 1,000 children received back-to-school packs, complete with essential supplies such as books, math sets, and toys.

“To alleviate the financial burden on families during the festive period, 2,000 women received wrappers and foodstuffs, including bags of rice, garri, beans, tomatoes, oil, beverages, and cartons of noodles.

“We are committed to continuing our philanthropic efforts, spreading love, joy, and hope to those who need it most.”

While expressing her passion for touching lives in rural areas, Udoidiong noted that the foundation’s selfless efforts have undoubtedly brought succour and smiles to the faces of countless women and children in Akwa Ibom State.

She assured that more would be done for women and children beyond Akwa Ibom in 2025.

Beneficiaries who spoke to our correspondent lauded the founder for her philanthropic gesture and prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon her foundation.
