Nigerian music sensation Tiwa Savage has addressed growing concerns over her safety following a viral video of her swimming with sharks.
The Afrobeat star shared the underwater footage on her Instagram story, where she appeared calm and collected as she swam close to the powerful marine creatures, wearing an oxygen mask.
In the video, Tiwa instructed the person filming to capture the ground beneath her as she explained that swimming with sharks had long been on her bucket list and that she was thrilled to finally tick it off.
While the singer seemed at ease in the presence of the sharks, many fans were quick to express concern for her safety, fearing an attack.
In response to the outpouring of worry, Tiwa took to her Instagram story once more, pointing out the irony in her fans’ concern. She stated, “Everyone worried about me swimming with sharks but the ones in this music industry are more [expletive] dangerous,” drawing attention to the dangers she faces within the music industry itself.
