APC Delegates who came out today to participate in the APC Federal House of Representatives Primary in Eket Senatorial Districts were stranded as there were no materials on ground for the exercise to take place.

The Guide Newspaper correspondent who monitored the exercise in Eket Senatorial Districts reports that Governor Umo Eno has directed all returning officers in the senatorial district to return to Uyo with all election materials.

When our reporter visited Esit Eket, it was discovered that Governor Umo Eno has directed the Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Council, Mrs Glory Edet, and the Commissioner for Manpower Development, Hon. Ikoedem Ekong, to ensure that there is no APC primary election taking place in the LGA.

Our reporter who visited one of the ward centres, observed that delegates were given ₦2000 each and coerced to adopt the government endorsed candidate in area, instead of allowing a fair grounds for direct primary, which is what the party says.

Also, inorder to discouraged delegates from participating in the exercise, venues for the APC primary were shifted to strange locations.

As at the time of filing this report, they have moved Ward -9 and Ward-10 to the Beach instead of the ward centre

Also moved Ward-2 from its Ward centre in Ikot Inwang to Ward -5 in Iwuo-Opom. Moved Ward-4 to Ward -8

In Eket Federal Constituency, HON. Ben Emmanuel who claimed to be the Returning Officer of Ward 3. He addressed the crowd assuming that Dr. Eunice Thomas has been endorsed as the sole candidate for EKET Federal Constituency.
Contradicting Ben Emmanuel, a supported of Hon. Okpolupm Etteh Hon. Samuel Edoho has concluded that since there is no formal primary Election, RT. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh has won unopposed as the masses are ready to vote Hon. Etteh.

Meanwhile, many are asking why the Governor is afraid of direct primary? Why force delegates to do adoption when there are aspirants for the Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal constituency seat?
