A yet-to-be-identified female adult has been found dead in a hotel at Morogbo in the Badagry area of Lagos State. It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday, November 31, after the deceased lodged into the hotel with a male partner. The family of a former ophthalmic nurse at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Taiwo Owoeye, who was found dead in her home in Suffolk, United Kingdom, has expressed sadness over her death. Banks have been asked to disconnect Switches, Payment Solution Service Providers, and Super Agents from the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Instant Payment Outwards System. The NIBSS disclosed this in a circular dated December 5, 2023, with Ref: NIBSS/BD/NI/PO/005/051223 to banks. The Supreme Court has dismissed an application by Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Imo State seeking to be issued a certificate of return as rightful Governor of Imo State, stating that Governor Hope Uzodinma wasn’t qualified to run in the first place. Justice Mohammed Madugu of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has dismissed a charge bordering on impersonation levelled against a leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Edozie Njoku, by the Nigeria Police Force. The Nigerian government has signed a Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) with Kuwait for the commencement of direct flights. This was disclosed by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on his X handle (formerly Twitter). BASA is an air transport agreement between two countries that allows designated airlines to operate commercial flights, covering the transportation of passengers and cargo. The Academic Staff Union of Universities, on Tuesday, raised the alarm that most departments in Nigeria’s public universities were short-staffed due to the resignation of lecturers in search of greener pastures. Survivors of the accidental bombing of Tudun Biri in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Tuesday said they were bombed twice by the Nigerian Army.
