The Ogun State Police Command, on Wednesday, said it has arrested a 40-year-old secondary school teacher, Olaniran Adewale, for allegedly sexually assaulting innocent girls. The spokesperson for the state police command, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed this to our correspondent. Olaniran, until his arrest was a Mathematics teacher at Ebenezer Grammar School, Iberekodo, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital. The teacher is a native of the Ipokia Local Government Area of the state. Soldiers attached to Operation Safe Haven Tactical Team of the Nigerian Army have arrested the alleged killer of the Ardo of Panyam in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Adamu Gabdo, in Lagos State. Ten people were reportedly killed on Monday at the Ukoosaa-Atam community in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State. The attack, according to locals, was a reprisal  by one of the rival bandit groups. The Federal Government has commenced the implementation of an automatic 40 per cent deduction of Internally Generated Revenues of Federal Universities and other partially funded institutions across the country. The auto-deduction policy of gross IGR is in line with the Finance Circular with reference number FMFBNP/OTHERS/IGR/CRF/12/2021 dated December 20, 2021. The circular limits the annual budgetary expenditure from IGR of the partially funded federal government.
