Uyo Liberation Movement (ULM) has announced plans to unveil its candidate for the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly seat representing the constituency in the coming days, following the successful conclusion of consultations on the zoning arrangement for the Offot seat.
Speaking with journalists in Uyo, the Secretary-General of the organisation, Akparawa Prince Emmanuel Sam, described the outcome of the zoning process as satisfactory and widely accepted by stakeholders, stressing that the decision reached is final and irreversible.
According to him, the zoning arrangement reflects the collective desire for equity, inclusion, and balanced political representation, adding that the movement remains committed to upholding the consensus already attained.
Sam further disclosed that Uyo Liberation Movement (ULM) is in the final stages of preparations and will soon officially unveil its preferred candidate for the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, marking a significant step in its political engagement within the constituency.
He urged residents, supporters, and stakeholders to remain united and continue to support initiatives aimed at fostering harmony, fairness, and effective representation.
The forthcoming unveiling is expected to herald a new chapter in the political aspirations of the Offot people as preparations intensify ahead of the next State House of Assembly election.
